December Update on Works in Progress

I have been remiss at posting a current update on my works-in-progress. Due to other work responsibilities, I’ve fallen far behind even while being rather busy. Here is a quick update on my current series:

WAYS OF CAMELOT series- I have struggled throughout the year with the third book of what was supposed to be a trilogy, but I finally realized that this series required another book, now titled CAMELOT OF THE ROADS, to come before ROAD OF CLOUDS. Book 3 is about 90% complete and should be ready for publication with Reader Hill Publishing in early 2016. I plan to finish Book 4, the final one, next year as well.

CIRIAN WAR SAGA series- I have been anxious to get back to this world. Book 2, TRUTH MOCKER, is about a third of the way done and will be released in 2016. I hope to complete Book 3 in 2016 as well, but that might not happen due to the size of these epic fantasies.

I hope to get a huge jump forward in my writing progress in the next few weeks. January’s update will hopefully show a lot more headway. That is it for now. I wish everyone a joyous Christmas and a great New Year.

October Update on Book Projects

I haven’t posted an update on my writing projects for some time. My apologies to those who have been wondering. My production slowed down over the last few months, while I was caught up in non-writing projects. My plate is overflowing for the last quarter of 2015, with lots of projects- but only some of them are my own novels.

I have 5 books and 2 websites to complete by the end of the year. Two of those books are mine, but only one of them is under my name. The other 3 books I’m doing the editing and formatting. CAMELOT OF THE ROADS will be the one “Eric Lorenzen” novel that I will finish this year, but I hope to release another 3 under my name next year.

Here is a quick update on my various writing projects:

Road of Leaves novel

The Ways of Camelot Series: For some reason, Book 3 has been hard to write. After much writing and rewriting, I realized that it needed to be split into two books. So this is how the series is now:
1. ROAD OF LEAVES
2. ROAD OF WATERS
3. CAMELOT OF THE ROADS (2015)
4. ROAD OF CLOUDS (2016)

Fallen King novelCirian War Saga: This series, due to the huge size of each novel, has been delayed for too long. I will be focusing my fantasy writing on completing two more of these epic novels in 2016.
1. FALLEN KING
2. TRUTH MOCKER (2016)
3. WATCH RIDER (2016)
4. Untitled (2017)
5. Untitled (2017)

Tyrants of Tolerance Series: This is a new near-future science-fiction series that I really look forward to writing. I already have a pile of notes and about 10% of the first book done. However, I have 4 novels to finish before I can start on this series.
1. TAG WARREN AND THE FRAGILE CITY (2017)
2. Untitled (2017)
3. Untitled (2018)
4. Untitled (2018)

Road of Clouds cover reveal

Howdy everyone,

I have been rather silent these last few months as I’ve fought with Book 3 of the Ways of Camelot series. This has been a hard book for me to write, mainly due to lots of interruptions.  I am close to finishing Road of Clouds and it should be ready for sale by the end of this summer.

The book’s cover has been finalized, so I thought I would giver everyone a peek at it. So here you go:

Road of Clouds cover

Yes, that is the character Adele on the cover. I thought she had earned her own by now.

One positive from all the false starts on this novel: I have lots of extra material that I plan to use to create a few short stories set in the same world. So, soon after I release Road of Clouds, I will probably get out 2-3 short stories as well. I can’t promise any definite release dates on these short stories, but hopefully it will happen within the next few months too.

November Writing Projects Update

This is just a quick update on my current writing projects for last month:

1. Ways of Camelot Arthurian fantasy series- I had to make a tough decision on ROAD OF CLOUDS, ripping up much of its beginning for a major redo. I had to remove the first 3 chapters and condense the next 5 chapters into 3. It’s hard to drop so much material but I think readers will appreciate the results once I’m done. This takes ROAD OF CLOUDS from 10% complete to only 5%, but I am still committed to getting it done by early 2015.

2. Tyrants of Tolerance science fiction series- While wrestling with RoC  (see above), I took a break to start the first book in this Science Fiction Dystopia: TAG WARREN AND THE FRAGILE CITY, set in a fallen California in the near futureI really love the characters and story line. This is going to be a fun series. I even have the website started: TagWarren.com, although it is still very basic. The site will become richer as the story develops. This book is about 15% complete. Expected publication is early 2015, to be followed by the next two novels in the series soon thereafter (hopefully).

3. Cirian War Saga epic fantasy series- I am about 30% done with Book #2, TRUTH MOCKER, and holding. I haven’t done much with this series in 2014, due to its huge size (these books are 2-3 times as long as the others). I do look forward to getting back to the series, but it won’t be until early next year. I hope to complete two books in this series in 2015.

4. Non-fiction series- This month I didn’t do any work on the various guidebooks put out under Genuine HR’s various series. I may do so when I have more time at the end of the year, but they aren’t a high priority right now. We just aren’t seeing enough sales on these books yet.

Well, that’s it for November. I was hoping it would be a more productive month, but it was still fun creating what I could. Thanks for reading.

October Writing Projects

This is just a quick update on my current writing projects:

1. Ways of Camelot series- I am about 10% done with Book #3, ROAD OF CLOUDS. I was stalled for a bit until I realized that I was trying to squeeze too much into one volume. So, yes, there will be a Book #4, tentatively titled ROADS’ END.

The book is hitting its stride now that I’ve split it into two and started the Sci-Fi novel (see below). I now have some breathing room to let Thom mature a little and improve his magical skills before he has to face his ultimate foe in Book #4. It also lets me ratchet up the energy even more. Good stuff!

Road of Water coverBook #2, ROAD OF WATERS, is now out in trade paperback as well as e-book and I really love how its cover turned out. Sales have started slow for this Young Adult Fantasy series, but those who have read it are loving it, so I’m happy with that.

2. Tyrants of Tolerance series- I have jumped into writing Book #1 of this new series because I needed a bit of a break from the Camelot series. This novel doesn’t have a name yet, but is a Young Adult Sci-Fi/ Dystopia.

Has a great start, full of energy and emotion. Look forward to really digging into the story. I’m about 10% finished on this novel too.

3. Cirian War Saga series- I am about 30% done with Book #2, TRUTH MOCKER, and holding. I haven’t done much with this series in 2014, due to its huge size (these books are 2-3 times as long as the others). I do look forward to getting back to the series, but it won’t be until next year.

Well, that’s it for October. Hopefully, November will be a much-more productive month. Thanks for reading.
